The UFC 333 main card includes one of the most intriguing ranked matchups at flyweight: No. 6 Lone'er Kavanagh against No. 10 Ramazan Temirov.
Kavanagh chasing the top five
The Londoner (10-2) comes off two losses: a submission defeat to Brandon Royval and an earlier one to Charles Johnson. Kavanagh sees this fight as a chance to get back to the top of the division and believes a statement win would put him back in the mix.
Temirov, power in his hands
The Uzbek (20-3) is unbeaten in the UFC with three wins and is one of the most dangerous punchers in the division: 12 of his 20 pro wins came by KO/TKO, according to his official profile.
The keys
- Kavanagh, a kickboxer by trade, has the reach advantage (67 vs 63 inches) and lands 50% of his significant strikes.
- Temirov is shorter (64 inches) but far more powerful: his threat is closing the distance and landing.
- It's a three-round fight on the main card, which starts at 2:00 p.m. ET.
